We are looking for an Assembly Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the delivery plan to customers is met in full, on time and to the correct quality standards. This will be achieved through leading a team of over 150+ employees, directing and driving efficiency in the areas of cable gland assembly, picking and packing, resin cell production, laser marking, warehouse logistics and components stores.
What you’ll be doing
- Inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence.
- Provide effective daily leadership to employees across the assembly areas, achieving production targets and performance levels, output, quality and cost to meet both the customers and business needs.
- Utilise all applicable KPIs that drive performance across all assembly areas.
- Analyse and interpret production data in detail in a fast paced environment, providing updates as needed within the business.
- Mentor and develop direct reports, delivering on company objectives and demonstrate continuous improvement to reduce non value added activities.
- Ensure all assembly team members are adequately trained to undertake their responsibilities. Provide development and mentoring opportunities to employees.
- Communicate goals, objectives and plans for production on a daily and weekly basis to the Assembly Team.
- Promote continuous improvement activities in own areas of responsibility, as well as supporting initiatives throughout the business.
- Carry out any other responsibilities not listed above as may reasonably be expected.
Who we’re looking for
To apply, we are looking for someone with experience within an assembly and logistics environment and will also have knowledge and experience of warehouse solutions design. Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills are critical to this role. An understanding of end to end supply chain management is also vital in order to succeed.

This position will be on a full time, permanent basis working dayshift.
