We are looking for a Production Operations Administrator who can undertake this multi-functional role which will include general administrative responsibilities and anything associated with production / operational activities to meet production / business requirements including supporting the, design, development and coordination of all operational training documentation and programmes in line with company requirement and standard.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Support with purchasing activities and supplier communication
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and updating our skills and training (ILUO) matrix
  • Participate in office meetings and taking meeting minutes
  • Participate in lean six sigma and continuous improvement projects
  • Use data sources to identify continuous improvement opportunities in manufacturing / production processes
  • Ensure new engineering orders (NEO’s) and engineering change orders (ECO’s) are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure routings, product structures, set / run times, and unit lengths etc. are constantly updated where required
  • Make sure alternative routings are available for to cover press options where applicable
  • Ensure all cleat costs are maintained and accurate
  • Support costing enquires, working closely with the technical department
  • Conduct offline programming of trumpf flatbed laser
  • To carry out any other responsibilities not listed above as may reasonably be expected

 

Who we’re looking for

 

To apply, we are looking for someone with experience in a busy lean manufacturing/production environment. Excellent IT skills and proactively showing initiative is essential.  Previous experience of any technical or operational responsibilities in a sheet metal background would be advantageous.

This position will be on a full time, permanent basis working dayshift.
