We are looking for a QHSE Engineer to join our QHSE team in Cramlington to coordinate daily QHSE activities, ensuring all product and process validation is complete in accordance with QHSE requirements.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Coordinate the inspection activities across goods in, assembly and mould shop
  • Work with other departments to ensure minimal dispatch disruption
  • Ensure the Inspectors within your area are multi skilled through training and development aligned with the ILUO matrix
  • Collate, analyse and report inspection and defect KPI data in line with the QHSE master schedule in your area
  • Assist in development and implementation of operational SOP’s
  • Coordinate the management and closure of NCR actions
  • Support with Kaizen improvements when necessary
  • Develop, implement and audit material verification processes for your area
  • Monitor product or process changes to ensure all risks are assessed, addressed and escalated
  • Coordinate internal parts and process audits
  • Provide QHSE New Product Introduction support for any new parts or processes within the area
  • Ensure QHSE activities are carried out in compliance with CMP Internal Management Systems and ISO certification requirements
  • Promote a safe working environment by supporting all aspects of our BIMS requirements
  • Ensure the hold/quarantine areas are managed and goods promptly processed
  • Coordinate any customer inspection or audit activities within your area

 

Who we’re looking for

 

To apply, we are looking for someone who has experience in a Quality Engineer position within a high volume manufacturing company, have a working knowledge and understanding of Quality Management processes, systems and standards (including ISO 9001 or equivalent) and have proven leadership and people management skills.

 

You will be IT literate and be able to interpret engineering drawings, driven and highly motivated with the ability to work well under pressure.  Internal auditor certification would be advantageous.

This position will be on a full time, permanent basis working dayshift. To provide its employees an improvement in work/life balance, CMP operates a 9-day fortnight (9/10) where staff employees have the opportunity to work compressed working hours and as a result have every other Friday as a day off.
